The card collector's view

His 2018 Panini Prizm Rookie #178 is the bedrock — base copies were undervalued for years before his MVP run sent the market upward. Silver, Gold, and color refractors are the high-end chase. The 2018 Donruss Optic Rated Rookie #162 is the second pillar, with Holo and Shock variants pulling premium money. Add the 2018 NBA Hoops Rookie and 2018 Select Concourse Rookie for the full base.

About Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at FreshDCards

From 11th pick out of Kentucky in 2018 to NBA MVP, Champion, and Finals MVP in 2025 — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made the most complete leap of any guard in the league. His Thunder defeated the Pacers in the 2025 Finals, the franchise's first title since the Sonics days. SGA is a multiple-time All-Star, three-time All-NBA First Team selection, and the unquestioned face of Oklahoma City basketball. He plays with footwork and patience that look closer to Hakeem than to a modern guard.
